Truck Tracking and Monitoring Centre for Cameroon

CSYSCAM is a real-time geolocation and tracking system for freight vehicles affiliated to the GTTC. It monitors routes, detects diversions and improves cargo security.

Integrated Road Safety Centre – Cameroon Road Safety Programme

CISOR-PSRC coordinates the GTTC’s road safety initiatives in partnership with law enforcement and the National Road Safety Committee. It runs awareness and training programmes for drivers.

OHADA & management trainingMaster the legal and management framework of your business

The Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) governs commercial relations in 17 African countries, including Cameroon. The GTTC runs practical training sessions to help transport operators understand and apply this law in their day-to-day business.

OHADA course content

  • Uniform Act on General Commercial Law: trade register, business assets
  • Uniform Act on Commercial Companies: setting up, running and winding up a transport company
  • Transport contract law: obligations of the carrier, the shipper and the consignee
  • Civil and criminal liability of the carrier in the event of an accident or loss of goods
  • Debt recovery: simplified procedures for transport operators
  • Enforcement procedures: vehicle seizure, practical steps

Business management training

  • Simplified accounting for transport operators
  • Cash management and operating cost optimisation
  • Drawing up a transport business plan
  • Calculating cost per kilometre and setting profitable fares
  • Human resources: employment contracts for drivers
  • Access to financing: microcredit, banks, SME support funds

Practical details

  • Quarterly sessions in Douala, Yaoundé and the regional delegations
  • Duration: 2 to 3 days per module (intensive sessions)
  • Trainers: OHADA law specialists and partner chartered accountants

Road safety trainingDrive professionally, protect lives

Cameroon has one of the highest road accident rates in sub-Saharan Africa. Through its CISOR-PSRC programme, the GTTC develops advanced training to professionalise driving and reduce accidents among its members.

Defensive driving module

  • Preventive driving techniques on Cameroonian roads (road surface, signage)
  • Managing fatigue and organising driving and rest times
  • Driving at night and in bad weather (fog, heavy rain)
  • Handling emergencies: punctures, breakdowns, incidents on the road
  • Daily vehicle check before departure (pre-trip checklist)
  • Effects of alcohol, medicines and drugs on driving

First aid module

  • First aid at the scene of a road accident
  • Securing an accident scene and protecting victims
  • Basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Alerting and working with emergency services (useful numbers)
  • Managing physical and psychological shock after an accident
  • Mandatory first aid kit: contents and use

Fuel price dataStay informed on prices and anticipate shortages

Fuel accounts for 30 to 45% of a Cameroonian transport operator’s running costs. Price swings, seasonal shortages and pump fraud directly threaten your profitability. The GTTC monitors prices in real time and alerts its members.

  • Daily pump price readings in all 10 regions of Cameroon
  • Tracking of world crude oil prices and their impact on pump prices
